and now a message from the chair...
Philadelphia Grotto is one of the most active organizations when it comes to caving, cave preservation and exploration. Members are trying to get underground whenever they can and sometimes travel hundreds of miles to reach a cave. In 2005 we discovered and mapped a number of new passages in caves across the country and even went caving overseas. Philadelphia Grotto focuses on getting beginners acquainted with caving activities. If you should be new to the idea of exploring the world below, or, if you are an Old Timer then please don't hesitate to join us at one of our monthly grotto meetings or ask us for our next caving trip. These trips are happening on a very frequent basis and everybody is encouraged to join us. Can't wait to put on my caving gear! Let's see where it goes! Cave Softly
