The Philadelphia Grotto is a caving club that was chartered in 1947 as a chapter of the National Speleological Society. We are dedicated to cave conservation, exploration, education, and research.

Some White Nose Syndrome updates: While the causes are still unknown, some cave owners including the NSS has opened caves to cavers. The procedures for decontaminating your equipment for between caves is still in effect. please visit this websitehttp://www.fws.gov/northeast/whitenosemessage.html to find out how to properly clean your equipment and please check on a particular cave's status before visiting.
