As many of you may already know. White Nose Syndrome has affected large colonies of bats in New York and potentially threaten Bats in larger regions. As far as I know, only the Tytoona Preserve near Altoona, PA is on the closed cave list of Pennsylvania due to the White Nose Syndrome. There have been no cases of White Nose Syndrome in Pennsylvania, but the NSS has closed Tytoona to be on the safe side. Most caves in the Schoharie region of New York are closed until further notice. Many Caves in West Virgina have been closed for precautionary resons. The Cause of White Nose Syndrome has not been determined yet.
